Welcome to the monthly in-person AI meetup in New York City, in collaboration with Microsoft. Join us for deep dive tech talks on AI, GenAI, LLMs and ML, hands-on workshops, food/drink, networking with speakers and fellow developers
This time, we team up with Microsoft to host the hands-on workshop to learn and practice generative AI and responsible AI.
Agenda:
* 5:30pm~6:00pm: Checkin, Food and networking
* 6:00pm~6:10pm: Welcome/community update
* 6:10pm~8:30pm: Tech talks
* 8:30pm: Q&A, Open discussion
Tech Talk: End-to-End Development of Generative AI applications on Azure
Speaker: Nitya Narasimhan (Microsoft)
Abstract: In this talk we’ll introduce the core concepts for building a “copilot” application on Azure AI from prompt engineering to LLM Ops – using the Contoso Chat application sample as a reference. And we’ll explore the Azure AI Studio (preview) platform from a code-first perspective to understand how you can streamline your development from model exploration to endpoint deployment, with a unified platform and workflow.
Workshop: Train & Debug your ML Models For Responsible AI on Azure
Instructor: Ruth Yakubu (Microsoft)
Abstract: In this hands-on workshop you will learn to train an AI model using the Azure Machine Learning Studio, then use its built-in Responsible AI Dashboard capability to debug your model for performance, fairness and responsible AI usage. By the end of this workshop you should be able to train, deploy, and debug, your own machine learning models to understand:
* where the model has errors;
* whether the data has over/under-representation to mitigate biases;
* explainability and interpretabilty for model decision-making;
* how to mitigate issues to meet compliance regulation requirements.
Outline: The workshop session will be broken down into 4 phases:
* Tech Talk: Understand the motivation and core principles;
* Prepare Environment: Launch the Skillable Lab and explore codebase;
* Train Model Locally: Open Notebook #1, run it and explore the code;
* Add Responsible AI Dashboard: Deploy model to Azure, Run creation job;
* Debug your model: DO error, data, feature analysis & model overview.;
Speakers/Topics:
Stay tuned as we are updating speakers and schedules. If you have a keen interest in speaking to our community, we invite you to contact us to submit topics for consideration.
Sponsors:
We are actively seeking sponsors to support our community. Whether it is by offering venue spaces, providing food/drink, or cash sponsorship. Sponsors will not only speak at the meetups, receive prominent recognition, but also gain exposure to our extensive membership base of 10,000+ AI developers in New York or 300K+ worldwide.
