An Evening of Innovation & Collaboration for the NYC Startup Ecosystem

Lair East Labs is delighted to invite you to an evening of thoughtful discussions and networking with founders, operators, investors, and VCs in the NYC startup ecosystem who are working toward international reach and impact.
There will be a panel discussion on public-private-international collaboration, and how startups can benefit from various governmental programs and resources. Panelists include representatives from New York, New Jersey, California, Singapore, and Sweden. They will shed light on how public agencies can work together to create an environment conducive to innovation and cross-border collaboration.
Door opens at 6PM with programming to start at 6:30PM. There is networking time before and after the panel discussion. Come ready to meet like-minded folks in the innovation ecosystem, as well as to learn about Lair East Labs' program and private capital opportunities!
Speakers include:
John Keisler: John P. Keisler is currently the CEO & Managing Partner for Sunstone Management Inc., a venture capital firm located in Southern California that invests in diverse early-stage technology startups through innovative public-private-partnerships that blend unique expertise across government, education, and private sectors.
Anna Throne-Holst: Anna Throne-Holst is the president of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York (SACCNY). Throne-Holst has previously worked at the U.N Department of Peacekeeping and has an extensive background in U.S. politics, serving as town supervisor in Southampton and running for congress in the 2016 elections.
Fernando Montejo: Fernando Montejo is the Assistant VP for Emerging Tech Initiatives at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he helps grow emerging tech sectors of strategic importance to the city and leads the Venture Access NYC initiative to support greater diversity in New York's tech ecosystem.
Clark Smith: Clark Smith is the Director of Innovation Programs at New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA). In his role, Clark creates strategies and initiatives to drive economic growth in New Jersey. He and his team develop, administer, and market investment and incentive programs which target New Jersey’s early-stage technology companies.

We are an NYC-based startup accelerator empowering founders to grow their businesses in the U.S. and Asia. Our vision is to build a global founder network in NYC. We run an accelerator program and invest in early-stage tech startups. We focus on three founder profiles: immigrant/international founders, industry veterans, and DeepTech pioneers.
Since founding in 2017, we have hosted 10 cohorts of accelerator programs and empowered 35 startups to grow their business in the U.S. and Asia.
