Join us this April for Fintech Founders & Funders Fireside Chat and Mixer co-hosted with Silicon Valley Bank and Supermomos.
We will feature three incredible Fintech Founders and Funders on a fireside chat and will have time for networking and mingling over light bites and drinks.
Jillian Williams is a Partner at Cowboy Ventures, which recently launched two new funds - $260M. Jillian is a fintech nerd and loves to explore the intersection of financial technology and all other sectors. She spends her time across B2B and B2C fintech, and vertical SaaS more broadly. Prior to joining Cowboy, Jillian was an investor at Anthemis($1.5B AUM), an early-stage fintech focused venture firm, focused across North America and Europe. Jillian was Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2022, Crain's New York 40 Under 40 in 2021, and listed as VCs to know in NY by Business Insider.
Tess Bloch is the co-founder of Spade, the fintech providing real-time merchant intelligence for the card ecosystem. In her current role, Tess leads commercial, operations, finance, and people. Before co-founding Spade, Tess was the Head of Operations for income and employment connectivity API, Pinwheel. Tess also worked for McKinsey & Company in London across payments, private equity, and public and social projects. However, her passion for fintech started even earlier than that when she sought out a Venmo internship (later turning it into a full-time role) during her time at Stanford. Tess’ robust fintech background allowed her to see firsthand how merchant intelligence was critical to the future of finance.
Nelson Chu is the founder and CEO of Percent (raised $48.5M), a global leader in financial infrastructure solutions. Founded in 2018, the company leverages proprietary technologies, integrations, and data to bring first-of-its-kind transparency and efficiency to lenders and credit transactions. He is an active angel investor, with notable investments including Anthropic, BlockFi, Care/Of (Acq: Bayer AG), Clover Health (NAS: CLOV), dv01, Eden Health, Plentina, Tala, and Uala.
