🚀The last two events were a success and we're bringing this back again!🚀
Ready to step up your public speaking game and connect with other like-minded folks who are also on a journey of self-improvement? Join us for a casual, supportive meetup designed to help you gain confidence and hone your communication skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
What to expect:
- Warm-up exercises: Break the ice and get comfortable speaking in front of others with a quick 60 seconds self-introduction
- Prepared speeches: Share a short speech you've been working on and receive constructive feedback from your peers. Keep it at 3 - 5 mins. If preferred you can present from slides or a script as well!
- You can choose any topic to speak about, as long as it doesn’t touch on controversial issues! If you’re unsure, please check in with the organizer 🙂 (See below for suggested topics)
- Peer reviewers: For every speech, two to three people (rotated) will give a review - don’t worry print-out guides will be provided!
- Networking, with a twist: We’ll have time for mingling after everyone has given their speeches. Keeping to the theme of self-improvement, folks are encouraged to seek and provide feedback on how they performed at networking!
- Safe space: We are all here to learn and are at a different chapter of our lives - so put down any ego and condescension, and just give it a go!
Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, this meetup is for you! Come have fun, learn from each other, and gain the tools you need to become a more confident and impactful speaker.
